Aleknagik dogs

We have a number of dogs hang out around the camp every summer. People around Aleknagik don't seem to worry much about keeping their dogs tied up, or spaying and nuetering it seems.




There seems to be a new crop of dogs every summer. We usually don't know what their names are (sometimes they are stray, sometimes they just stray from their owners), so we get to make them up. Last summer we had BomBon (cutie in Uruguayan Spanish) and this summer we hang out with Smiley (the darker dog), Fuzzy Wuzzy (aka Ewok or Fuzz Ball, he's hard to miss), Oatmeal (not pictured, son of Pancake), and Pancake (who was pregnant when we arrived). They even go running with us! It's very fun to have them to hang out with.
