Summer 2006 in Aleknagik, arrival

I'm back in Aleknagik for 2.5 months this summer! Salmon, sunsets, otoliths, and bears. Pretty exciting! I'm going to put up some photos for you to see and try to tell you a bit about what's going on.

It was pretty rainy when I first got to camp and the water level was really high. And the weather was chilly! Good thing we have a sauna. The water level was so high we didn't really have a beach in front of camp, but you didn't worry much about hitting the boat prop on a rock in the river.

This is a beautiful place!!
